one year later….

Hellllllooooooooo……..

Since I created this blog a few years ago, posts have been few and far between. I’ve wanted to try and keep a consistent schedule for a while now so fingers crossed that I stay true to my word.

I’d say its safe to say that an updated post is long overdue, seeing as things in my life have changed quite a lot.

First and foremost, I graduated (!!!!) which was simultaneously the greatest achievement and scariest experience all at the same time. Finishing college and entering the “real world” are two very unsettling things. Needless to say, many tears were shed during my final weeks at LSU and I get caught up between wanting to move on from college to wanting to move back into Chi O and stay there with my friends forever.

I spent the rest of my “last summer” working in Baton Rouge and soaking up the last bit of time with my family and friends by going on many trips and attending many weddings.

It was probably the best summer I have ever had, mostly in part due to the people I chose to spend my time with. I wouldn’t trade those few months for anything, but it did make it a lot more difficult to leave.

I moved to Dallas this past August and have been very caught up what I would consider to be the biggest change in my life thus far. While many would look at my move from Baton Rouge to Dallas as an exciting and life-changing experience, its taking me a lot of time to see it that way. I honestly did not think that I would miss Louisiana and my family, friends, and boyfriend so much. That may sound naive but I really didn’t think this transition would be so difficult for some reason.

I am definitely adjusting and liking it more here as more time passes by, mostly due to the fact that I FINALLY got a job (!!!!). I am now the new account executive at Brynn Bagot Public Relations and am super excited for everything I am going to experience and learn while here. I also have my own office with a mini fridge but thats just a bonus.

so I am hopeful that it can only get better from here, although I definitely am learning to be conscious with my thoughts and try and think only happy things (easier said than done) and make the best of the situation, even when I’m hardcore missing my family (and of course, my dogs).

alright I think that about sums up where I’m at in life. Here’s to hoping I don’t wait so long to post again 🙂
